This day is dedicated to exploring the world on bare feet - Perfect for children's development and senses.

Yoga is a great activity for children as it promotes flexibility, balance, strength and calmness. Here are some kid-friendly yoga exercises that are fun and easy to do:

Children's Greeting (Mountain Pose and Raise Arms)

  • Start in Mountain Pose with your feet flat on the ground, arms at your sides.
  • Raise your arms above your head and stretch them towards the sky.

(See if you can reach up and catch the clouds, or tickle the birds in flight)

Tree Pose (Tree Pose)

  • Standing on one leg, place the sole of the other leg on the inner thigh or calf (not the knee).
  • Keep your balance with your hands in prayer position in front of your chest or stretch your arms above your head.

(and say like a bird, play and imagine that the bird sits on the child's head/tree) .

Cat-Cow (Cat-Cow)

  • Start on hands and knees in prayer position.
  • Swing your back up like a cat (Cat Pose) and then down like a cow (Cow Pose) while synchronizing with the breath.

(Feel free to say like a cat or/and a cow so that the child has some fun and practices sounds in this exercise)

Downward-Facing Dog

  • From the board position, lift the hips up and back so that the body forms an inverted V shape.
  • Keep hands and feet planted on the ground.
(Feel free to say like a dog so the child has some fun and practices sounds in this exercise)

Child's Pose (Child's Pose)
  • Sit on your knees, stretch your arms forward and place your forehead on the floor.
  • This is a resting position that promotes calmness.

The Warrior (Warrior Pose)
  • Stand with feet wide apart, turn one foot forward and bend the front knee.
  • Extend your arms out to the sides and look forward.
(Say like a warrior and let the child follow his imagination)

Butterfly Pose (Butterfly Pose)
  • Sit with the soles of your feet together and your knees out to the sides.
  • Hold your feet with your hands and swing your knees up and down like a butterfly's wings.

Cobra (Cobra Pose)
  • Lie on your stomach, place your hands under your shoulders and lift your upper body by extending your arms.
  • Look straight ahead or up.

(say like a snake so the child gets familiar with sounds again)

Star (Star Pose)

  • Stand with feet wide apart and arms extended to the sides.
  • Imagine that you are a big, bright star.

The Lion (Lion Pose)

  • Sit on your knees with your hands on your thighs.
  • Take a deep breath through your nose, open your mouth wide, stick out your tongue and roar like a lion on the exhale.

These exercises are a great way to introduce children to yoga in a playful and engaging way. Remember to make it fun and encourage the children to use their imagination along the way!

Children must explore the world without obstacles - because every step is important.
