Mød Thomas Pretsch - uddannet fysioterapeut, Natural Movement

Meet Thomas Pretsch - trained physiotherapist, Natural Movement

At Gogsig, we believe that feet deserve the best conditions to grow, develop and move freely. That's why we work closely with licensed physiotherapists and movement experts.

The physiotherapists contribute their professional knowledge about motor development, balance and foot position. Their insight helps us to:

  • Ensuring correct development – so our shoes support natural movement patterns.

  • Prevent problems – by understanding how footwear affects balance, strength and posture.

  • Optimize the design – so we constantly improve fit, flexibility and comfort.

Our common goal

We share a vision to give children (and adults) the best opportunities for free play, healthy comfort and natural movement. The collaboration with physiotherapists ensures that our shoes are not only beautiful and functional - but also support health and well-being in the long term.

We have worked closely with Thomas and developed workshop videos and inspiration for you parents, so that you can learn more about the entire barefoot area.

"Thomas, who are you, and why have you chosen to collaborate with us as a brand?"

My name is Thomas Pretsch, and I am passionate about helping both children and adults to live a healthier and more natural life of movement. For me, it all starts with the feet – our foundation.

I am a trained physiotherapist, Natural Movement trainer and have spent the last 15 years working to restore natural function in my body - and in the bodies of my clients.

Through my work, I have seen how modern shoes often restrict the foot instead of supporting it. Narrow, stiff shoes with heels lift us away from the body's natural starting point and can over time create problems with feet, knees, hips and back. That is why I recommend barefoot shoes.

Barefoot shoes give the foot back its freedom: they are flat, flexible and have plenty of room for the toes, allowing the foot to move naturally and the senses to be stimulated.

It makes a huge difference – not least for children, whose feet are still developing and need optimal conditions to grow healthily.
For adults, barefoot shoes can be a way to rebuild strength, balance, and body awareness that may have been lost over many years in traditional shoes.

I always recommend a gradual transition when we are talking about adults or older children, so that the body has time to get used to the new movement patterns. When this happens, many experience greater freedom, less pain and a better sense of contact with the surface.

I collaborate with Gogsig because they share this approach and deliver high-quality shoes that truly support the idea of natural movement.

Therefore, I can highly recommend those who want to give their feet – and thus their entire body – the best conditions to use Gogsig shoes.
