Sometimes good things just take time.
And this is one of them 🤍
At Gogsig, we don't work with quick solutions when developing new shoes.
Because children's shoes don't just have to look good - they have to be able to withstand life, play and movement, everyday life and reality.
And they have to feel right on feet that are constantly evolving!
We have been working on two new launches for a long time: the MY sneaker and the Laura sandal .
And instead of just sharing the result, I wanted to share the journey behind it - because that's where the difference lies.
MY sneaker - when sporty look and natural movement go hand in hand
MY sneaker has been a process where we have really focused on the fit.
Because a sneaker can quickly become “too tight”, “too narrow” or “too stiff” - especially if the design is meant to have a sporty look.
But we didn't want to compromise on what matters most:
That the child's foot is allowed to move freely and most naturally.
That's why we've worked intensively on the cut and construction, so:

the toes have room to spread and work naturally

the shoe feels light and free to wear

the design still has a sporty look that the kids themselves love
It's the type of shoe where what makes it right isn't necessarily what you see first.
But that's what you feel when the child runs, jumps, climbs and moves all day.
It's amazing how much of a difference the little things can make in a shoe.
Because every stitch matters.
If a shoe is tight over the little toe or big toe, it's not just "a small detail" - the last should be different so that the shoe is not too low and the foot gets more air and freedom.
And if a leather cut is just slightly wrong, it can mean that the heel turns red or that the child gets a pinch in the wrong place.
That's why we test again and again, because we also know one thing for sure:
All feet are different and all children move differently. A shoe may fit perfectly on one foot - and not work at all on another.
But we make an effort to hit the “medium to wide” foot with a high instep.
And here, our children are honestly the best guinea pigs 🫶
They get to run, jump and play in 1,000,000 different shoes and models until we hit the right Gogsig feeling.
